Hello, my name is Ashley and I have recently applied to the nursing program at NU, cohort 53. I am wondering what are the past cut off points to evaluate my likelihood of being accepted, does anyone know ? Also, here is where is stand, TEAS 84% with 3.25 GPA (low I know) and waiting to take the essay portion. I would love to hear some feedback!
I am applying for Cohort 53 at NU San Diego as well! I am applying for the Accelerated BSN program as I already have a Bachelors degree. My TEAS test/Essay is on the 16th. 3 more days to go--EEK!!!
Does anyone know what the essay will be? The website says "One essay topic will be drawn from questions developed by the Nursing Faculty and typed on a computer." I've also been told that it is probably going to be "why do you want to be a nurse". Anyone know for sure? Anyone previously do the essay and it NOT be "why do you want to be a nurse"?
Thanks, I'm glad I didn't completely bomb it lol. But I don't think there's any way I'll get into this cohort with a score in the 70's, at least based on what I have heard.
As far as the essay I felt like I could have done much better if I had more time. It took me too long to decide on how to construct my paper, so I ended up having to rush through it. My prompt was something along the lines of what skills do I possess that will aid me in becoming a professional nurse.

You absolutely did not! We still have GPA's and essay scores to factor in, so that may have been enough to get you in depending on all 3! Here's to waiting! I'm already SOOO anxious!! I've heard we should know in about six weeks... Anyone else heard anything?
