National University Cohort 53

Published

Hello, my name is Ashley and I have recently applied to the nursing program at NU, cohort 53. I am wondering what are the past cut off points to evaluate my likelihood of being accepted, does anyone know ? Also, here is where is stand, TEAS 84% with 3.25 GPA (low I know) and waiting to take the essay portion. I would love to hear some feedback!

I have a 3.86. Praying for a good score on the essay portion.

That's great! Have you taken the TEAS?

Yes I did! I scored an 84%

Does anybody know if we are allowed to find out the amount of applicants there was?

When I called, they said there was around 155 applicants.

How nerve-racking! I wonder when we will find out acceptance/denial .

For the last round we found out 7 weeks after the week of the essay/TEAS test date. They email you when the information is up, and you go to the page where you applied and it basically just has either accepted, denied, or alternate. This will be my second time applying and I'm praying it goes better this time around.

Thank you, ill be praying for us both! Goodluck :)

Is everyone on this thread "Generic Entry?"

Did you apply for this cohort as well, peculiarmademoisell?

Yes, I applied for generic entry. I believe the accelerated cohort is for those with a bachelors already.

The cut off for cohort 52 was 83.7 points I talked to the nursing school advisor, so not really sure where 86 points came from. The way they break down your gpa is just your science and math grades not your overall cumulative gpa. I got denied, but applied again for cohort 53. My gpa was 2.7 (math and science), 82.7 on teas, and 5/5 on essay. My total points score was 81.7 points. Cut off for alternate 10 spots was 82 points and top 40 spots was 83.7 points. Hope this helps! Just trying to increase my teas score on the 16th
