National University - Cohort 61 -SD

I wanted to start this for those who are applying to Cohort 61. Has anyone been to a recent nursing info session where they've gone over anything about the newly added interview component?

Does anyone know how long each interview is?

Did you guys go to the forum? They talked about all of this ? it’ll be about 20 minutes and you’ll be interviewed by two people and they take the average of the two scores ?

When I went in April they were still doing essays. In fact they said they had gotten rid of the LVN -RN BSN ...... but now they have it again from what I see on the Soar . So one thing I’ve learned is things change quick. But thanks for answering the question.

Dang things change fast! I didn’t mean that to be sassy, just honestly wondering because I’m seeing a lot of questions that they covered in the forum. But that makes sense because the forums are good for a year but this change was so abrupt. I have the information packet on my email if anyone wants me to send it to them ?

thanks for answering! I feel lost. Let’s just put it this way...... I took a TEAS and got a sad high 70’s early this year. I was told I could retake it 4-6 weeks after the deadline. I was barely about to start studying for the TEAS and I get an email that I needed to submit a TEAS score in order to be considered for this cohort. I was pretty bummed that I couldn’t retake. I was told ”no more essay”, based on those scores maybe I’d be called for an interview. My GPA was pretty good so a I guess I barely made the cut. Anything else that has changed, please feel free to share. I’m like a deer in headlights rn.

What about the cost of the program ? Does anyone know ? (Thanks) i know I ask a lot of questions ?

Agreed! So two whole weeks after the interview? I wonder what’s the earliest? Someone said they’d interview 80/90 students..... so if they’re trying to interview them all X 20 min each ..... they can only do so many in 1 day. I’m thinking 3-5 days?

That was my exact thought too, unless they have groups of two interviewing people with the same grading criteria and questions then it will go faster. But who knows

Eviux25 so you got an interview for this cohort right?

If you don’t mind me asking what was your gpa?

I have a friend that has a 4.7 and a 80 on the teas and she didn’t end up applying ?

but I think mine was bc someone must have turned it down. Cause I got mine 2 days after all of you did.

3.7/3.8 ? they never gave me a direct answer based on my calculations I got that.

Honestly I wasn’t going to apply bc i was told 80+ got in only. But I had no choice since they changed up everything so last minute. So I figured why not ! You should encourage her to apply. We loose nothing by trying..... ? @Aph12
