I wanted to start this for those who are applying to Cohort 61. Has anyone been to a recent nursing info session where they've gone over anything about the newly added interview component?

Yes I went to the forum recently where they mentioned the interview but not much info was given about it.

If you don't mind me asking, what is your GPA and TEAS score?

My GPA is a 3.6 and my TEAS score is an 80%. I'm taking it again this upcoming Friday to try and get an 86 or higher!

I don't mind at all!

My GPA is 3.77 and my TEAS is 81. I'm also taking it again on the 25th to get a higher score, also shooting for above an 86! What study methods are you using to improve your score, or what section did you need to improve on?

I didn't really study the first time becuase I took it while in the middle of A&P2 and the grammar and enlgish section kicked my butt! I had no idea what adverbs were or all that sentence structure stuff.

Thanks for answering! My English/Math were the lowest. I have now studied as much as I possibly can. I used the yellow Momentrix book and the ATI TEAS books, but I like Youtube videos better.

Do you think with our TEAS scores and GPA as of now, we still have a fighting chance? I'm just worried I'll get the same score or around an 83% and then won't know what to do.

What materials have you studied from?

I've been using the Momentrix book as well as looking at youtube videos just to freshen up on the science portion so that it's all fresh in my mind. I've also been taking the practice tests in the back of the momentrix book. For english I googled and found random worksheets to practice sentence structure and to practice indentifying specif parts of sentences.

I think our GPA is competitive but I don't think our TEAS is. Have you found the cohort 60 thread? I looked through there and asked everyones score and alot of people replied back and told me! someone also posted the averages of the accepted students, which was really isightful.

Thanks for the info! I'll look at the cohort 60 scores. That's a good idea, I'll Google sentence structure worksheets. That was one of the areas I needed the most help on. Good luck taking your test. I'm sure you'll do amazing!!!

Hi,

I got an 83.3%. I literally thought I got 100% on the math portion which totally through me off when I got my score. I'm going to give it one more try and if I don't get an 86% or higher then not sure what I'll do. I've given this my absolute all and just don't know how to study for this anymore ? So nice of you to check in, Did you take yours again?

Ah man I know you were worried about getting an 83 too. Have you joined any facebook groups? Alot of people share thier study tips and post really similar questions, if not the exact question that was on the test. But i know what you mean, Ive been studying for a month and feel like I have a pretty good grasp on things but when i go in im sure ill be tested on all the things i didnt study lol. I take my test on thursday! Was your test the same as the first one you took?
