Hi,
I wanted to start this for those who are applying to Cohort 61. Has anyone been to a recent nursing info session where they've gone over anything about the newly added interview component?
Thanks!
I have never taken paper and pen to an interview. How long ago was this done @Yougotacceptedrn
Hi Daybreak!
Thanks for reaching out.
Do you feel nursing school is as hard as they say? I have kids, and I'm worried I'll miss out on so much. Even though I cannot wait to do this if I get in, I'm just curious.
Do you all have to write a lot of papers?
Random question, do you all wear scrubs to class too or is it just to clinicals?
Thank you!!!
Hi there! I am only 21 and not a mother yet, but I have a few friends who are moms in my cohort and in 59 who say that it is hard, but worth it. The time you give up to be with your kids, is more time invested in your future and most importantly, theirs. Be prepared to miss out, but also know you're missing out on a few moments for a brighter future for you and them.
Papers depend on each class.
It is hard. But anything worth having in life, you have to work for.
Scrubs are optional for class (they might change this rule, but as of now you don't have to wear it all the time)
HI Daybreak!
Thank you for reaching out! Its super helpful to prospective students that have so many questions about what is to come!
My question is what has your typical schedule been like? I know class schedules change every 8 weeks I believe, but for now what days are you scheduled and start and end times? I'm also a mom in the process of enrolling my little one to daycare and need to know how early she needs to start so I will be able to drop her off and make it to class on time. So how early do classes start and about what time is class dismissed? As well as clinical (which I know will vary).
Thank you! also any other info that you feel you can share and would've been helpful for you to know as a new student let us know!

Hi there! Thanks for the question! If you are accepted, you will eventually see your classes in your student portal, but NOT any of the times or dates. You won't get this until close to the first class start date.
For the first class (which is 4 weeks long), I got scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Friday for two to three hours at a time in the morning. I haven't even gotten my second class schedule yet. You don't get any class schedules until it is about to start. (It is like that the entire program)
Times vary and can change every week! Some classes are 4 weeks and some are as long as 8 weeks. You won't even get your class schedule and times until four to three weeks before your next class begins.
Keep in mind that you have no choice on what class times you want! You CAN request clinical sites that fit your location best, but if you get into the program, the staff will tell you that your request is not guarenteed.
Also!! Another note: The cohort gets split into two groups. So the other half of my cohort has completely different class times and days.
You are truly at the mercy of the nursing program.
I really hope this helps.

I know this is true for when it comes to when the program picks your clinical site, but I am not sure if this is true when it comes to what day/time you have lecture. I would email [email protected] and ask!
