National University Cohort 67 San Diego

Published

Hello Pre-Nursing Students!

Despite Cohort 67 being quite a bit away, I figure I start up a thread early for those of us that are eager.

I plan on applying for the May 2021 deadline. I just knocked out BST 322 and am taking ILR 260 with NU this next coming month!

I just took the TEAS and came out with a 85.3!

Please feel free to share your stats: GPA, TEAS, work experience, second degree (if any).

For those of us who already made it through and ended up on this thread, any insight would be awesome on what to expect!

Specializes in Allied Health/pre-nursing student.

Can someone please explain how National is calculating GPA?

I thankfully got into a class at NU that starts today actually and ends the end of April so in time for this app period. National is my second choice I am hoping I get into CSUSM  ABSN program and if I do then I won’t apply but right now I’m not assuming anything.

good luck!!

Also as for last cohorts average, that average points wise would not even get you an interview for cohort 66 since that would be under 72 points as well and that’s just the interview and those people who don’t get a seat will more than likely be reapplying this cohort when they’re denied and they’re over 72 points. STRESS. LOL so I would honestly try to up your stats as much as you can. I know national also accepts StraighterLine but it’s really hard to pass their finals to get an A.

How do you calculate the points?

Hi! I am a student who tried doing this last application cycle. I just wanted to give you a heads up with my experience. Advisors told me it would not be a problem to end a class and apply right away. The class, BST 322, ended on Jan 31st and the app was due Feb 12th. I had SUCH a struggle accessing the application even with sending in all my transcripts, TEAS, attending a forum much earlier. It was super frustrating I was emailing or calling the school every single day up to the deadline to try to access the application and ended up missing the deadline. I hope this was an isolated incident and things go more smoothly for you but I just wanted to give my experience hoping this doesn't happen to anyone else- send in everything early and request the official evaluation ASAP!

Anyway long rant over haha. I have applied to this cohort instead.

Stats: GPA 4.0, TEAS 94%, no nursing experience but background in biological and oncology research with a BS in Biology from SDSU

Hello all!

I was invited for an interview for cohort 66 with a GPA of 4.0 and a TEAS score of 89. The only medical background I have is my medical assistant cert.

I am so nervous and will let you all know how it goes!

Hello! I was about to create a thread soon. I'm glad that you did.

I am also applying for cohort 67, May 2021 deadline!

My stats:

GPA 3.5

TEAS: 94.7

I unfortunately don't have any work experience. I have an associate degree in Allied Health and Social and Behavioral Science.

I already finished biomedical statistics and LIR! Pleasure to meet you all.

Yes, this is my first time applying!

Hi everyone,

Can someone please give me some information about the BST 322 class with NU. I am taking the class in April, and any insight would be awesome on what to expect!

Thanks!

I would recommend taking this class with Prof. Camille Bredsfield (I hope I correctly wrote her last name). She is a super sweet and kind person. She explained all assignments and homework step by step. All tests are based on a textbook. No surprises. I would say her class was the easiest one. My score was almost 99%.

Hello guys,

My name is Khay and I will be joining in you guys with this cohort. I applied to 66 and did not get in. We got our acceptances/ denial today. It was such a competitive cohort. I applied with 3.76 and 90% on TEAS. They accepted 40 students. I will probably re-take my TEAS and try to get higher score.

I submitted my application already! I don't know what to do.

The deadline is may right they’ll let you add to it if you finish a class (look at straighter line) or retake TEAS etc I know girl who got into 66 who took a StraighterLine class after she applied but before the deadline
