Hello Pre-Nursing Students!
Despite Cohort 67 being quite a bit away, I figure I start up a thread early for those of us that are eager.
I plan on applying for the May 2021 deadline. I just knocked out BST 322 and am taking ILR 260 with NU this next coming month!
I just took the TEAS and came out with a 85.3!
Please feel free to share your stats: GPA, TEAS, work experience, second degree (if any).
For those of us who already made it through and ended up on this thread, any insight would be awesome on what to expect!

Hello! I was about to create a thread soon. I'm glad that you did.
I am also applying for cohort 67, May 2021 deadline!
My stats:
GPA 3.45
TEAS: 94.7
I unfortunately don't have any work experience. I have an associate degree in Allied Health and Social and Behavioral Science.
I already finished biomedical statistics and LIR! Pleasure to meet you all.

Hi everyone! I recently was denied an interview from cohort 66 and my current stats are 3.6 with a TEAS score of 88.7. I am retaking A&P1 and lab to get an A so that will bring me almost to a 3.9. Hoping this application period won’t be as insane as 66 with pushbacks of deadlines and cut backs of seats.

Hi Amber, good to meet you. I'm very sorry about that. Your stars are high so I'm surprised why you didn't get an interview. Do you think my stats are good? I have 3.4 GPA and 94.7 TEAS!
I applied for cohort 67! Will see how it goes.

The average GPA of the students that got accepted last cohort was 3.7 with TEAS of 87. I’m also retaking A&P I to boost my GPA ?
@AmberSwisher - when are you retaking it and with who? It’s gonna be my first time taking A&P at NU. Any tips are appreciated. Thank you!
Cohort 66 was really competitive.
I have 3.4 GPA and 94.7 TEAS. I am worried about it. I submitted my application to cohort 67!

Hi everyone!
I am hoping to apply for cohort 67 as well. I still need to take TEAS exam and I'm taking the biomedical statistics at NU this next coming month.
Unfortunately, I don't have any healthcare work experience ? but I do have 10 years of retail experience( I hope somehow that counts).
Pleasure to meet you all and best of luck to everyone!

Hi you guys! So I applied already for this cohort. I was going to apply to cohort 66 but after some of the groups on fb and seeing the stats I decided not too LOL. So I did this time. My stats are 4.0 and 86 on the TEAS. I have healthcare background in the operating room but I only have an associates degree. Im sitting on the fence about retaking my TEAS. I applied to all the community colleges here as well so hoping that something opens up soon for me. not really looking forward to retaking the TEAS so if I don't have too im avoiding it LOL. Good luck you guys!

From my knowledge I barely got cut off for an interview points wise I think it was about 72+ and I was like 71.8 ?I think your points are right under 72 as well since your GPA would be 34 points and TEAS score is (40*.947=37.8) so you’re like 71.8 and right at the cut off as well. I’m not sure how competitive this cohort will be but a lot of people with similar points to both ours will probably be reapplying to this cohort so my suggestion is that you maybe try to retake a class if you can. My advisor was not ever worried about me getting an interview and I didn’t get one otherwise I would have tried to improve my GPA before.

I thankfully got into a class at NU that starts today actually and ends the end of April so in time for this app period. National is my second choice I am hoping I get into CSUSM ABSN program and if I do then I won’t apply but right now I’m not assuming anything.
Also as for last cohorts average, that average points wise would not even get you an interview for cohort 66 since that would be under 72 points as well and that’s just the interview and those people who don’t get a seat will more than likely be reapplying this cohort when they’re denied and they’re over 72 points. STRESS. LOL so I would honestly try to up your stats as much as you can. I know national also accepts StraighterLine but it’s really hard to pass their finals to get an A.

I submitted my application already! I don't know what to do.
