Rady Children's New Grad Program Fall 2023
That's what happened to me in the Spring cohort for the NICU at ucsd. They hired over 20 new grads from the pervious cohort an now they're not hiring for the next few cohorts or until Spring 2024. Thanks for the update!

For the schedule they do have a weekend/evening class and they have a day class. For the first two semsters the classes are on tuesdays and the last two semesters the classes are on mondays. If your a day student its from 9:30 till 3:00 basically and evening its from 4:30 till I think 9 or so. I am a day student so im not sure for the evening course. When I found out I got into the program I got ahold of the director and special requested the day cohort because I have kids and I had issues with child care and scheduling so they really helped me out on that. The program does try to support you as much as they can and they did help me with that. Clinicals are a different story it really depends on what they get. We were on the tail end of covid so we took whatever we could get since alot of the hospitals were still weary. it's better now where the hospitals are letting everyone in now. The program is HARD! but its doable. just try to stay as positive as you can and always come from a place of learning has really helped. I wish you the best in getting in!

Hi! Im currently at southwesterns nursing program an graduating may 2023 but I can tell you theres almost zero competition to get into the bridge programs once you are enrolled into one of the ADN programs. They come to the campus an you basically pick which one you want. They do want you to have the organic chem done for SDSU before you can take the concurrent enrollment through them though ( an as long as you pass) . If you don't have it you actually cant take classes. Thats what happened to alot of us in the current cohort. I didn't have it but im in the PLNU bridge myself. SDSU has a class that replaces a 4th semester class for leadership that lessens the load which would have helped alot because it is heavy but you do need that organic chem. Alot of the cohort ended up going through GCU actually because they didn't require additional clinical rotations while SDSU has an international travel requirement an I know a few of us went through point loma because of the public health certification. They will explain it all once you get into your programs you guys decide on. ( Theres also a big price difference between SDSU, PLNU, AN GCU)

I know its easier said then done but try not to get anxious. I didn't get in the first round of swc and was placed on the alternate list but got in a week later. People choose other programs and decline spots so more spots will open. I know there will be an extra one opening because im declining mine so thats another spot for someone <3
