Hi All, I want to start this thread to help us prepare and ask questions as the BSN Cohort 82 application deadline is approach. We can use this to share stats, keep eachother up to date as deadlines approach, interview letters sent out, help in preparing for interviews and of course encouraging eachother along the way.
To start, I will be applying with a 3.838 GPA (nursing core classes) and 92 TEAS score.
For anyone who has gone through the process or knows others who have gone through, do you think this will be competitive enough?
Hey Guys!
I have an interview on March 11th. I have been obsessively researching the process for the interview and have a fairly decent understanding of what questions might be asked, but I was curious to know if I should have a set of follow up questions for the post-interview section. If anyone has applied previously, what tips and tricks do you have for me in order to be fully prepared. Please let me know!

I haven't applied before but I would I would ask 2-3 follow up questions
I just finished my interview! I think it went super well! I interviewed with 2 women, one the dean of nursing, the other a professor for theory and clinical studies. They asked me about 4 big questions: why do you want to be in the nursing profession, why national university, tell us about a time when you did everything right but the outcome was negative and how you learned from it, and finally describe how you have seen diversity in your life and how you might go about preserving diversity in the nursing profession.
my interview lasted about 25-30mins (get there early because I was called in about 20 mins before my scheduled time due to a no show). I had 3 follow up questions prepared, but the conversation was so easy and relaxed that we ended up talking about the program a lot more in depth.
I was pretty nervous, and I think they could tell because they told me: "everyone is always nervous for this part, but you deserve to be here and are doing a great job by just being present.” They have to be some of the best facilitators of an interview that I've ever met. Just be personable, try to breathe, and speak confidently! I wish you all luck!

Congratulations Gabriel! That sounds like an amazing interview. I agree with you as well! the women interviewing me were wonderful. They helped ease my anxiety and helped the interview flow so much better than I was expecting. I had similar questions. Name 2 inspirations for going into nursing. Why choose a career in medical profession? Why national? What is diversity and how is it different than inclusion? and Discuss 3 of the most important points for professional communication.
