National University BSN Program

the anticipation is killing me!! after working hard for 2 years i finally completed my application to national university for their Accelerated BSN program. i took the teas 5 just over a week ago and am expecting my acceptance/rejection letter during the first week of june. even though it is just 3 weeks away, it seems like a lifetime! if i am accepted i will be joining the october 2011 cohort. anyone else going to nu during this time?

Yeah, that would be pretty awesome if they gave us a free itouch! BTW, does anyone have a fb here? I would like to either join or start a group for our cohort! I cant send private messages, but I believe I receive them.... so if any of you CAN send private messages, send me your name so I can find you!

Hey Luv,

Just sent you a message with my name. :) What is everyone doing as far as work during the program?? We need medical benefits, and I think I will need to be fulltime to keep my beenfits. :( Is anyone else dealing with this?

OMG! I just wanted to log in and say congratulations to all of you who were accepted! How exciting! I am 2 weeks away from applying and very excited! Any tips???? I have a over 3.7 so far in Sciences and will begin studying soon for TEAS.

BTW so sorry that some of you received that stupid email! But hey you got in?! How do they make a "mistake" like that?????

Hey Kadeboy! A friend of mine is art and thread of keep this one going to meet up with your group members :) study the Teas manual that is written by the writers, it does wonders! With your Gpa and studying, you should have no problem getting in :) Best of luck!

Thank you! I am actually online ordering the version 5 study manual right now. Question-How long after you sent in your app did they schedule you to take TEAS-----and how long did it take from the time you applied to get your acceptance email???

Hi everyone! I'm new to allnurses.com but i wanted to say hi and tell you guys that i will be joining you in Cohort 28 :) I originally got denied and then i got an email yesterday saying that it was a mistake and i was actually accepted!! Totally made my day! haha! So i quickly accepted my acceptance and YAY! I'm super excited to meet everyone at orientation! ...please let me know if anyone gets their packets or an e-mail about anything!!

I got an e-mail about a week after I applied that I would be taking the TEAS in a week. So roughly 2 weeks total after I applied. And then it took about 6-8 weeks to get the acceptance e-mail.

Hey Marissa! Welcome =) We have a FB group page, you should join us if you haven't yet!

Kadeboy: I waited about 3 weeks before I got my TEAS test email with the date, My test was scheduled 3 weeks after the email was sent, so start studying ASAP, the more time you have, the better. Everyone has a different waiting period because there are multiple sessions for the TEAS test, if you take the test just a few weeks after applying, you will have to wait longer to hear the good (hopefully) news!

Right! I was the first group to take the TEAS, so I had less notice and had to wait longer :( lol but like Kitty said start studying as soon as possible. When I bought the ATI book I also bought 2 practice tests with it and I really felt like those helped. It just gets you acclimated with the set-up and you can see what time lines you are under.
