National University April 2015

Posted

Current student at NU and applying to BSN program in April 2015 @ the Los Angeles Campus. I know it's a longs way away, I couldn't help myself . Anyone out there also applying the same time?

Hi,

I applied for the April 2015 LA cohort.

Did you get in??? I applied and was accepted (as of yesterday:roflmao:) to cohort 14 in Fresno, CA, beginning in April 2015. Good luck to you! I am hoping to find some people in my area as well :)

Congrats! @renathabest I am also thinking about applying to the LA campus as well. I need to get my transcripts and need to pay for the application fee. Did you go through an adviser to go over the transcripts?

I know I'm in a different location, but I met with an advisor to go over my transcripts. This way you can be there while they tell you what transfers and what does not, and recommend classes for you

Did you mean the April 2015 application deadline for the October 2015 cohort? Good luck! I am also applying for the October 2015 cohort at LA campus.

Hi!

I know this is fairly old but may I ask you what was your GPA score and TEAS score? How many people got accepted? What weighed the most on your application (overall gpa or core science and math gpa)? I too am apply to the April cohort to begin in October of 2015.

Any response will be helpfuly!!

Thanks!

Hi!

I am still waiting to hear back from National.

My GPA was roughly a 3.5 and my TEAS was an 86. My essay score is unknown.

National looks at your math & science GPA, TEAS score, and essay score. The number of attempts is no longer factored in. National will issue a proctored essay exam upon your nursing application completion. The number of attempts on the TEAS is not a factor, so your best score will count. But keep in mind that other programs may factor that in.

The number of people getting accepted depends on which campus your submit your application to. San Diego is the largest so they accept 4 cohorts a year with 50 seats in each cohort. LA has 2 cohorts a year with 20 seats in each cohort. Fresno has 2 cohorts a year with 20 seats in each. There is 1 LVN cohort a year in San Diego with 20 seats.

Currently, National only lets student apply to one campus at a time.

I hope this helps!

@zone2carebear Did you apply for the April 2015 cohort back in October 2014, or are you applying for the October 2015 cohort this upcoming April 2015 deadline?

I just recieved my acceptance letter for the april 2015 nursing program at the Los Angeles campus.

I have a 3.55 gpa in the science and math classes and a score of 83 on the teas.

I applied for April 2015, and I have been accepted.

Hi, What is the tuition and length of entry level BSN program in Los Angeles?

Hi, What is the tuition and length of entry level BSN program in Los Angeles?

Do you plan on completing general ed and pre-reqs at National or transferring them in from another school? That will change you length and cost. The actual nursing program is the same length and cost for both the generic and post-bachelors. The nursing program after general ed and pre-reqs are completed is 22 months and around $40,000.

I just took the teas & I got a 78. Not the best :( my GPA is a 3.91. I don't know how big my chances are of getting in since my essay's the only one that can be the deciding factor for my acceptance. What are everyone else's scores? :)
