Congrats! @renathabest I am also thinking about applying to the LA campus as well. I need to get my transcripts and need to pay for the application fee. Did you go through an adviser to go over the transcripts?
I know I'm in a different location, but I met with an advisor to go over my transcripts. This way you can be there while they tell you what transfers and what does not, and recommend classes for you
Hi!
I know this is fairly old but may I ask you what was your GPA score and TEAS score? How many people got accepted? What weighed the most on your application (overall gpa or core science and math gpa)? I too am apply to the April cohort to begin in October of 2015.
Any response will be helpfuly!!
Thanks!
Hi!
I am still waiting to hear back from National.
My GPA was roughly a 3.5 and my TEAS was an 86. My essay score is unknown.
National looks at your math & science GPA, TEAS score, and essay score. The number of attempts is no longer factored in. National will issue a proctored essay exam upon your nursing application completion. The number of attempts on the TEAS is not a factor, so your best score will count. But keep in mind that other programs may factor that in.
The number of people getting accepted depends on which campus your submit your application to. San Diego is the largest so they accept 4 cohorts a year with 50 seats in each cohort. LA has 2 cohorts a year with 20 seats in each cohort. Fresno has 2 cohorts a year with 20 seats in each. There is 1 LVN cohort a year in San Diego with 20 seats.
Currently, National only lets student apply to one campus at a time.
I hope this helps!
