National list of summer externships or internships

I am looking for a national list of summer externships or internships. I am willing to move anywhere. I have friends in the San Francisco Bay Area that have been looking for a year for a job with no luck.

I am hoping an internship or externship will help me be more marketable and I am willing to move ANYWHERE there is a good program that is not super difficult to get into. I have a 3.87 at the moment and volunteer at the local VA. I am on the directive of the nursing association at my university and in the honors program. I know how competitive these programs are and I hope I am marketable enough to get into a good one.

I am just looking for a list or some suggestions of good ones that are not uber competitive.

If you like the VA and already volunteer there, look up the VALOR program. That is the way to go, though it is competitive. Everything is competitive. There is no list. Opportunity must be sought.

It is super, super competitive. The VA here only picks 2 students each year. I am not sure how many people apply but I know of at least a dozen and that is just from the people I know at my school. The applicants come from all the nursing schools in Puerto Rico which are vast.

There was one semi list I found but I was hoping I could find a more comprehensive one as this list had mainly East Cost hospitals. I know there are probably great programs out there that I will never know about.
