Today's observance emphasizes the importance of advance directives.

I've had my will, advance directives, and pre-planned funeral taken care of since I was 51 years old, back in 2008. I don't want anybody to have to shoulder the burden of making decisions at a time which needs to be for grieving.

I've got my advanced directives all filled out, and have for years. It's something we should all do, even if perfectly healthy.
