Nassau Community College Spring 2016

Hi everyone! Anyone applying to NCC Spring 2016? I just took my TEAS yesterday. They are using a new way of selecting applicants so it will be interesting. They are using all classes pertaining to the program, rather than the four. Also, they aren't using the science part of the TEAS. Anyone else have any more info?

I have a BS and 3.57 in 7 classes that I have. NC resident. TEAS...I may take again, but I scored Reading 83, math 67, English 70.

so wouldn't that mean they got accepted into the program because why would the school accept them if the nursing department rejected them. I genuinely don't know i'm just wondering out loud I guess

i guess because they could still go there for something else?

that's true, or even take classes to bring up their gpa then apply as a change of program matriculated student

Honestly I think were going to get them on Friday because they don't want to mess up our holiday.Which is nice of them I guess lol..

Hello all. Im sure you guys are all anxious. I called the nursing office and the woman said we will receive our letters by Friday or Saturday. She said they sent out the letters yesterday. I didn't get accepted last year to their program. I re-applied for spring at NCC but I just received my acceptance letters from Molloy and Farmingdale for their nursing programs so I don't even care about their reply at this point. I know how nervous everyone is. If you don't get accepted for NCC's program, don't be discouraged. Apply elsewhere too. :)

i probably won't be able to taste the turkey while thinking about the letter lol

Haha. I called again on Wednesday and spoke to the Nursing Department (okay, I'm officially entering stalker territory). She said all letters went out Wednesday from ND and Admissions were sending emails. I patiently waited for an email which never came. So I called admissions around 4pm, and they said everything was trickling out between Wed and Monday. She said we will find out either by letter, email or portal (which is student account I guess). I'm sure Admissions is closed today, right...? Not sure if we will find out until Monday, but ya never know!

as of right now i've received nothing thru ncc's portal or a change of my degree status.. my mail comes in about an hour. (i hate getting my mail at 4pm, its so late)
