Hey everyone,

i just applied to the NCC 4 year program for spring 2020. I have 7 of the 10 pre reqs completed but only 2 of which are from NCC:

A&P 1 : A-

A&P 2: B

Psychology: A

Human Lifespan: A

Statistics: B+

english 102: A-

Microbiology: A

my TEAS grades are pretty solid : 97 in math, 83 in English, 89 in critical reading and a 67 in science which might hurt my chances. Based on past experience and knowledge would I have a decent shot at getting into the program? Thanks for reading and good luck to anyone else applying !

Yeah ... I was actually going to walk with clothes in my car to change just in case. But thanks...

Hi! Did you have all the pre reqs complete? I am taking micro and patho now...

I was accepted to the Spring 2020 nursing program. I am currently taking medical micro and will be taking pathophysiology in the first Summer session. When I applied to the program I was in the process of taking anatomy & physiology 2 & English 102, and I still needed to take medical micro & pathophysiology, besides the online classes (which can only be taken once you’re in the program).

I got A’s in all of the classes that go towards the nursing multi award degree. I also got an overall 83% on the TEAS exam. I hope that all helps! Good luck!

Hey guys, how are you? How was everyones first semester. Hope everyone is well especially with everything thats going on. I feel like a support group should exist of some sort. A group text or a facebook group. IDK if it exists already and I just dont know about you but I feel like I'm in this alone and I know I'm not. If anyone wants to chat and be friends while in this program I'm available. Heres my email [email protected]. You can def reach out!
My name is Gusthy by the way! Hopefully we can start a group of some sort for our class!

Hi Gusthy! Creating a group sounds like a great idea. Did you register for the fall yet? The schedule was a little different than what was posted on Monday, in the nursing announcements. I registered for Section B. I’ll send you an email as well. ?

Hey Gusthy, it’s wonderful that you are reaching out like this! With everything going on it is quite nerve racking, praying it doesn’t effect our schooling whatsoever. I would love to join a group chat! I’ll send you an email. I have also have registered for the classes in the fall, I am so excited! I’m really hope that nothing changes.

Hi there,

Can I ask where you can see the nursing announcements?

If you sign onto Blackboard, the Nursing Student Center is listed under "My Organizations." They post announcements there's a ton of documents and resources there.

Thank you so much!

Hi Gusthy,

I'm so happy you posted here; I had totally forgot about this thread. I just registered for Section B. I'm nervous but excited for the fall. I would love to get a facebook group set up. I will email you and would love to help coordinate the group with you and others that are also interested.

OMG Guys its wonderful y'all responded. I was deff second guessing myself to reach out. I was like what if they think I'm weird or something. Anyways I'm still weird but AYEEEE that didn't stop me! and I'm glad it didn't. so I'm going to also put this reach out on the other threads for Spring 2020. Theres like 5 different threads on here for NCC Spring 2020 so IDK what's that about. But I'm going to reach out there too. and then whoever emails I can send you my number... I don't want to post it on here just incase of weirdos LOL But yeah we can set up a whatsapp group chat with everyone who is interested and also create a facebook page for this Cohort! OMG that's the first time I've said that word. isn't that crazy (OK I'm rambling)

Also I registered for sextion B1 as well for Fall!! I looked at the past semesters to see who was teaching. I know its not guaranteed but I like to do my research! The clinical site for B1,B2,B3,before is south nassau. I live close so I went with that. Also In the schedule the department posted I think they listed the floors we will be on : D1E- heart failure and stroke, D2E- Telemetry, E2- Surgical, F3- Med Surg. I have someone on the inside and they told me what each unit contains. so hopefully that helps. I dont know what section gets what unit though.

If anyone has more information please post!
