Hey everyone,
i just applied to the NCC 4 year program for spring 2020. I have 7 of the 10 pre reqs completed but only 2 of which are from NCC:
A&P 1 : A-
A&P 2: B
Psychology: A
Human Lifespan: A
Statistics: B+
english 102: A-
Microbiology: A
my TEAS grades are pretty solid : 97 in math, 83 in English, 89 in critical reading and a 67 in science which might hurt my chances. Based on past experience and knowledge would I have a decent shot at getting into the program? Thanks for reading and good luck to anyone else applying !

I applied for the 2020 day program also. I did most pre reqs. I’m currently finishing A&P2 and Bio Ethics this semester, after that I will only need Med Micro and Pathophysiology. I did ok on the teas. Overall 77%. They have more seats than the past years, so I assume it shouldn't be as hard to get in as before. They offer day/night in the spring. 96 seats total. Fingers crossed guys. ?

Hi do they offer the pre courses online ? Like A&P 1 and A&P 2 and the rest of the courses needed before applying to nursing ?
Hey louisedgard, they do offer some courses like english, psychology, biomedical ethics, but i believe the science classes have to be taken in person.

Hi guys ?
Im nervous I turned in my application yesterday and now the waiting period begins. I have 8 out of the 10 pre reqs. I'm currently taking the last 2 lifespan and patho. my gpa is a 3.9 and if I counted my teas points correctly I have 40 and I've never been in a nursing program and I live in nassau so I think I have a good shot. Good luck to everyone else!!

Hi everyone,
I haven't had time to attend an information session or advisement meeting. I'm a bit confused by the application process. I just submitted my application but I wasn't asked to provide any information on my prereqs and TEAS scores.
Am I missing something here or should I just wait (im)patiently for an email updating me on the next step to take?
Best of luck to everyone!
@kay917la stapled to your application you should have your unofficial ncc transcript and unofficial transcript of all other colleges attended prior, and also copies of your teas results. the person at the desk should have verified that your handed everything correctly
Hi I’m transferring from an online SUNY student from Mcc to get into nursing Program. I do have English 101 and college algebra. Will need more prerequisite clearly, was wondering if I need to take any course before taking Anatomy and physiology I ???? Also can I get my associates degree instead of Rn/BSN ??
Lastly what time are evening or weekends for nursing courses and the best time to take TEAS test ????
@Louisedgard there are no prereqs for anatomy 1. Im not sure about the associates degree question. I think the evening courses in the nursing program starts at 5pm but im not sure. applied for the day program so I only looked into the day hours. and the best time to take the teas is on a Saturday morning from 9-1pm that's when I took mine. so idk. best of luck!

Hey guys, we are all on the same boat here just applied ? yesterday, I have 8 out of the 10 courses already completed:
AP1-B+
AP2-A
PSY1-B+
PSY2-A
BIOMED-B
MAT-B
ENG101-B
ENG103-B
Teas scores are R:85 M:81 S:66 E:79
GPA: 3.3
I'm currently taking medical micro and pathophysiology ??My last two. Also, I am Nassau resident and never been in nursing program before (this is the first nursing program I've ever applied to). And I applied to evening. Waiting until the end of November is gonna be super painful. Good luck everyone. Let's get these careers.Btw what's the point system with the teas?
The worst part is waiting. trying to keep busy by staying on top of my current classes but its hard. Ive also been watching youtube videos on what to do when you get accepted. so i've scheduled to get my physical and all my immunizations all up to date and get the flu shot, scheduling to get re certified for CPR its not much but I rather get these things out of the way so when the real stress comes that's 2 less things to do. What are somethings y'all are doing to prepare?
