Any one applying for Nursing at NCC for Fall 2018?
Does anybody have a breakdown of how to calculate your # of points handy? so I can make sure I did this right. Sorry if I'm being annoying I'm just so dang anxious
You're not being annoying... I was just in your shoes so I understand... the best way to calculate your points is to run your transcript on the NCC portal and calculate the quality points received for all classes completed but the total should be only for the classs that pertain to the nursing degree, specifically. Make sure it's the quality points column you calculate... as far as the TEAS scores, each section (except science) gives you either 5, 10, 15 points depending on your scores. 10 points for being a Nassau Resident, and 5 points for never being in a program.... hope that helps.
@Kaylad21... For GPA points you multiply the grade for each class by the number of credits (for example if you got a A in A&P, that's 4.0 x 4credits, 16pts); A=4.0, B+=3.5, B=3.0 and so on... For TEAS, each section I think it's 5pts proficient, 10pts advanced, and 15pts exemplary; 10pts Nassau resident; 5pts never been in a nursing program

Sure. I calculated 125...who knows if it's even accurate. Based on the comments that I have seen that is very low based on the people who have gotten in.
How many points do you have?
