Hello,

I decided to start a thread for those who have been accepted into Nassau's evening session for this fall. There aren't many of us so I figured this would be a nice way to get to know each other before September and give each other advice. I personally, have no idea what to expect and will appreciate any information and advice. I am planning on working on the 2 page autobiography we need to bring to our interview. Anyone start it yet? Is there something specific they will be looking for? Also, anyone know what type of stethoscope they're going to purchase?

Just an fyi, my degreeworks changed to Nursing Evening. What a feeling to be an "official" nursing student!!

really??? where do I check that? I've just been checking my registration status which still hasn't changed. I just checked my degree evaluation and it still says not pursuing degree :(

Yes. My records as well now say evening nursing as well.. degreeworks and my unofficial transcript.

Did you guys go through admissions? Mine was through nursing.

Yes. Nursing you get an email first, however if you applied thru admissions they change your status first...don't worry before May 18. Your status will change in order for registration and you have an email and hard copy letter that's all that matters. Congratulations guys!! NCC Nursing has two ways of working sorry, no team work in this process. As you are seeing with applications...the evening and day program is different too. Lots of people finds the day program is much easier and more resources is put into it. Where as the nights your choice is limited. So many people switch from nights to days. It's the little things I have learnt in the program.

Maybe its something that happens when you apply through admissions? I'm not sure but I'm annoyed because a history class that I took is not coming up & it was there before the change, it came up for the "what-if analysis" and it was included in the evaluation they did prior to applying. I really don't want to take another history class!! :(

Has anyone started their autobiography yet? Not sure where to start and how to keep it at 2 pages! lol

Anyone else notice that they were able to register for NUR 101? I didn't register because of the interview date on Monday but it did give me permission.

I think they will probably give us our sections to register under, not sure... For lecture, we are all gonna be in the same class but it differs for clinical.
