I decided to start a thread for those who have been accepted into Nassau's evening session for this fall. There aren't many of us so I figured this would be a nice way to get to know each other before September and give each other advice. I personally, have no idea what to expect and will appreciate any information and advice. I am planning on working on the 2 page autobiography we need to bring to our interview. Anyone start it yet? Is there something specific they will be looking for? Also, anyone know what type of stethoscope they're going to purchase?

For anyone that uses facebook, there's a group on there called Nursing Students Buy, Sell and Trade....I've seen a few of the recommended books on there for cheap.
Has anyone done their physical yet? I just got my titers and PPD done. My measles came back non reactive so my doctor told me to get a booster with my 2nd PPD next Wednesday, but the school's nursing office said i don't need a booster because my records show 2 vaccination so it counts as me being immune. Should I just get the MMR booster anyway? I didn't want to get a vaccine if I don't need it, but I feel like maybe I should. Has anyone else titers come back negative and you need a booster? I think i'm going to do my 2nd PPD and do the MMR booster together next Wednesday.

I have an appointment for my physical on Thursday. My MMR should be up to date though. As long as the Health Office is saying you're okay and will clear you I don't think you need to get vaccinated again.
Hope everyone is having a good summer. I just went online to pay my bill and look at financial aid stuff. I hopped onto the Blackboard and am enrolled in this "Nursing retention through mentoring Summer-Fall 2018"
I'm assuming all of you are in it too. Has anyone else looked at it?
Lol, my jaw dropped last night when I saw all this stuff. There is also a nursing students center if you scroll all the way down to the bottom on blackboard!
