I thought I'd start a forum for Fall 2017
I didn't...I actually applied last minute. If you don't mind me asking, did they explain why you didn't make it in the first time? I only have 7/10 classes, and it makes me nervous to not have completed the other three.
Wow that sucks that there are less spots. The wait sucks! Did anyone apply to other schools?

The only one I'm missing is Microbiology. I was told that it basically depends on who applies, their grades, teas scores etc. So if the applicant pool has a lot of students with 4.0s and all their classes done, it's going to make it harder for others. If I don't get in again then I plan on retaking my teas (did horrible on science part) and then also apply to suny fdale and Suffolk. I wish I had registered for micro over the summer just in case but it's full now.
NCC doesn't look at the Science portion (of the TEAS) at all, so you should be fine.

I actually didn't go to any info sessions. I just called admissions and asked- I could have been given wrong info. Hopefully, that's the case!:)
Anyone hearing anything back yet? I'm so nervous! When I went to an information session they didn't say anything about less seats, 72 was the number!
I said in an early post, the nursing office lady there specifically told me "64". When I went to admissions and info center, they seemed clueless. Just to point out in terms of how hard it is to get in this fall, I would assume easier with high school kids? Think about it, if your in high school and get perfect on TEAS thats max 45 points + Nassau resident 10 points + not being in a program 5 points= 60 points MAX. Most of us have majority of prereqs and those that got rejected last fall with a few prereqs probably got accepted in spring 2017 after taking more preqreqs which is minimizing competition since those individuals most likely had all prereqs done. I am probably over thinking this but I think if you got atleast 110, you will get it..... who knows though

they have different requirements then us though. it adds more people you have to compete with. I agree with that people who have completed prerequisites and have shown that they can handle college courses should get priority. I think they should take past medical experience into account as well. I'm an EMT with over two and half years of experience both paid and 911 volunteer experience and I work in the ER as an ER technician that is a psych center, stemi center, and a trauma center. I'm more likely to succeed and graduate and pass my NCLEX the first time than a kid out of high school.
I just registered for Medical Micro - tues/thursday 1pm class with Lucca
It's the only other core class I need for nursing besides my 2 electives - so I also registered for a dance class to fill my Arts requirement. (It's always been a love of mine, figure it will be an easy A)
Anyone hearing back anything? from Nassau or any other school you may have registered for?
I heard back from Farmingdale that I have too many credits to be considered for the Fall program, and they moved my application for January, because I would be considered accelerated.
