Nassau Community College Fall 2015

Published

Hey guys I'm just starting another thread for the Fall semester, because it seemed the past threads were very helpful. I also had a few questions and wanted to see what other people's opinions were on my chances of getting into the program. Feel free to share your thoughts, questions, etc!

I am a Suffolk County resident and not a student at NCC. Will this hinder my chances of getting in? I've read in previous posts I would be losing out on several points because of this? I rather have you guys be 100% honest than as opposed to giving me hope. As far as my grades it's as follows...

Anatomy and Physiology I: B+ (3.5 Suffolk Community College)

Statistics: B+ (3.333 Syracuse University)

English 101: A- ( 3.7 Stonybrook University)

Psych 101: A (4.0 Suffolk Community College)

TEAS V: 84.1 Advanced (I believe this was 94-95% percentile)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Anxiously waiting on the acceptance or denial letter. I was told by mid April we should be receiving them. Has anyone heard differently?

I was told by the Associate Director of Admissions that they "try" to have acceptance letters available by the end of April….

For Spring admission I was told by the end of November… letters we sent out mid December. Fingers crossed that they are sent on time this round!

This thread isn't as active as previous threads. But anyway, letters were mailed out yesterday. Good luck everyone.

Oh great! Thanks for the info! Good luck!

Good luck everyone! Hope we all get in

If you have a Nassau ID number and can log in to MYNCC (if you previously attended Nassau) and you go to your Registration Status it will show Nursing as your major if you got in if you don't want to wait for a letter... Not sure if this goes for everyone. Good Luck ;)

You just made my day. I'm in! (According to online) Thanks mjann!

@Mjann -If that's the case then I got in. Not celebrating yet though because I need tangible evidence. Good luck everyone.

To those who are showing they are in according to online do any of you mind posting your stats that you applied with?

I called admissions to verify what I saw online and they said that it is correct and I was admitted. The lady that I spoke with said that paperwork was mailed today.

I applied with the following

Teas: 78

AP1: B+

Writing: A

Stats: B+

PSY: A

Nassau resident, I also have a Bachelor's degree (not sure if they look at this)

Good Luck everyone!
