Nassau Community College Fall 2015

Published

Hey guys I'm just starting another thread for the Fall semester, because it seemed the past threads were very helpful. I also had a few questions and wanted to see what other people's opinions were on my chances of getting into the program. Feel free to share your thoughts, questions, etc!

I am a Suffolk County resident and not a student at NCC. Will this hinder my chances of getting in? I've read in previous posts I would be losing out on several points because of this? I rather have you guys be 100% honest than as opposed to giving me hope. As far as my grades it's as follows...

Anatomy and Physiology I: B+ (3.5 Suffolk Community College)

Statistics: B+ (3.333 Syracuse University)

English 101: A- ( 3.7 Stonybrook University)

Psych 101: A (4.0 Suffolk Community College)

TEAS V: 84.1 Advanced (I believe this was 94-95% percentile)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi... I still haven't got a letter...anyone else still waiting to hear back? My online banner registration status still says "liberal arts" I'm afraid that's not a good sign í ½í¸‘

I am still waiting for a letter too. So nervous! Hopefully Monday!

Hi... I still haven't got a letter...anyone else still waiting to hear back? My online banner registration status still says "liberal arts" I'm afraid that's not a good sign

I'm on the same boat! I have similar grades as some who got in just hope we get to hear a response soon! I'm getting anxious!

I have similar stats too but the only thing is I'm not a nassau county resident... The anticipation is killing me!

A+P=A

Eng=A

PSY=A

STAT=B+

Overall GPA 3.93

Teas=advanced

I'm not a nassau county resident either and I have the same stats as you. Did you guys apply for the day program or the evening program?

I applied for the day program. I still haven't received my letter, but the admissions department said is was in. Hopefully it comes on Monday…. if not you can always call admissions monday.

Yeah I called the nursing dept on Wednesday and the lady I spoke with said they were mailed out the day before (Tuesday). That's why I'm so anxious because I feel like we should have gotten them by now. Ugh!

I applied for days... I'm more nervous since some people said online banner says Nursing Program as their major before they got the actual letter

:cat: Some of you guys have better grades than me so you'll make it.

Checked out the Fall 2014 thread and it seems as if you apply through the Nurses department, the acceptance envelope will have a sheet for registration/interview included. I went through admissions so I don't have that; it should arrive separately though.

Congrats!!! That's awesome! I heard there were less seats this year too

(Thanks for reassuring me about the liberal arts status!)

Less seats? Jeeze, I wonder why? If I'm not mistaken, the head of the department said that the requirements for nursing is going to change next year so I'm wondering if that might be the reason for less space.

I am in! My registration still says liberal arts but i got my letter yesterday ! Goodluck everyone
