Looking for anyone who is applying to NCC for Spring / January start ( or anyone else on the road to applying) who wants others in the same situation to go through the process with.
Hey everyone - yes, the acceptance method at NCC is a mystery. It took me 2x before I got in and I had a 4.0...and a ton of credits under my belt as well.
Perhaps someone on this board will have a different opinion, but I personally think that those who haven't completed A&P II really shouldn't bother... (you really should already have it on your transcript)...there are just too many applicants out there who already have all their pre-reqs done and then some. Some even have prior AS or even BS/BS degrees... And BTW, the nursing classes are SO time consuming, I couldn't imagine taking another class at the same time anyway---
It's not impossible to get in if you have the grades, but you do have to be patient and have as many classes completed as you possibly can---
just a reminder as someone asked about what professor they had that we request that names are not posted on the forums as per terms of service
please do not give out personal information about others. do not name names where anyone could identify the person in any facility including your nursing programs.
Hi all,
I have been following the Nassau nursing threads for about a year now. I am tentatively in the nursing program for a Spring as well. I have all classes except A&P II and Med Micro completed. I also live in Nassau and have 4.0 if that helps anyone.
Excited to meet you all and good luck to those that are applying in the Spring.
Oh well, Didn't get in. Still no letter, so I called. They said it was a soft rejection, meaning I'm qualified, so I should reapply for Sept. I have 4.0 with all pre reqs and most other classes done. I applied to Suffolk too, so I'll go there in Sept. if accepted. Good luck to everyone starting in January.
Hi Irish201,
I'm new to the thread. I registered for this site almost one week ago when I received my acceptance letter. I just got the link in my email today... go figure. My interview is scheduled for Dec. 17th at 11:00am, and yes I am nervous too. Good luck to you and everyone who got in. I look forward to meeting all of you.

I didnt get in either and no letter - very dissappointed in how they treated me- I was so mad I figure for the 40.00for the APp - they can at least send me a letter good or bad- I too had to call.
I had everything they needed except Statistics (just need nursing classes)- which honestly I didnt even know I needed - no other school requires it - I have applied to Suffolk and to Farmingdale for Fall.
Good luck to you
Laura

Hey Everyone!
I have been looking at this thread for quite some time. I didn't want to become a member until I received good news :) I got my letter in the mail on Saturday and I'm scheduled for December 17th at 11am. Congrats to everyone who got accepted and the Best of Luck to everyone who is either still waiting (how annoying) or just so happen not to get in at this time (stay positive).
I forget who posted, but if anyone still has take A&P 1 or 2, let me know because I know of the best professor to try and look for.
