Anyone going to NASN Conference in Boston this June?
May 1 is the end of early bird registration. http://www.nasn.org
Unfortunately the Red Sox not in town that week.
2010 conference is in Chicago at the Marriott on Michigan Avenue!
There are 3 conference scholarships being given away if you fill out a member survey. When I was in grad school, the Graduate Student Association had funding to go to conferences. I used it twice for NASN. And of course some school districts where the nurses are on teacher salary scale have the same conference continuing ed funding that the teachers do and many use that to attend.
Boston is nice location because your family can come and vacation with you. If you go, be sure to go to the beach in Cape Cod (my personal favorite, West Dennis) and two years ago I finally drove up to the Maine coast and it was spectacular. Not to mention all the Boston history, the ship the Constitution, North Church, Faneuil Hall, the swan boats at Boston Commons, the Public Garden, and the shopping on Newberry.
You will need your member ID to submit for the scholarship drawing.

I WAS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!
The early bird deadline for reduced NASN conference registration is TODAY. Must be postmarked or online today for $25 discount. http://www.nasn.org

Are you a member of NASN?
and at what level do you belong?
What is the difference between Active and Member-at-large? besides the price?
Is it worth the $$$? I am a member of the INA (Illinois Nursing Association) and thinking that the journal would be a great resource.
