Hi Kukita!! I realize that your post was in 2008, but I'm hoping that you will somehow see this reply and respond. I am taking the NACE at MDC on wednesday. I did amazing on the TEAS test and now I face the NACE. As long as I pass this test, I am quite confident I'll get into the program. Needless to say, I'm a little nervous because there is so little info out there on this test. I can't find any study guides or quizzes for this test. It's quite mysterious lol. So my question is, did you end up taking the NACE? How was it? Any advice?

Thanks,

Luis

Hi Luis, I do not know if you will receive this. However I noticed you replyed that you had taken the TEAS test and did really well. Are the guides given a good way to study? And will I need more for study material?

Thanks Mark

Hi Charlie, I must admit, the TEAS test was very difficult. I studied for 4 hours almost every day for 1 month. I used the TEAS study guide. I think it was very useful for the test. For me the most difficult sections of the test were the english and science sections. Many people don't have problems with the english section, but I haven't taken an english course since 1999. I was very rusty on all the little rules of grammer that most of us don't think about when we casually write. The reading and math sections were very easy for me. I think the math can be easy for anyone who takes the time to practice and brush up on all the basic math that many of us forget. The TEAS book prepares you very well for the reading, math, and english sections. However, for the science it does not. It helps, but not everything asked on the test is in that book. I highly recommend purchasing the 2 quizzes that ATI sells for the TEAS. It will really help you practice and get a good feel for the question structure of the test. My best advice to you is to study very very hard. There is no such thing as studying too much for this exam. Just some FYI, the national average for this test is 64%. I am no genius, but I got an 82%. That put me in the 91st national percentile. So studying very hard will definitely pay off. Good luck =)
