So last week i took LS3 for the second time...wouldn't you know i failed again! Don't know if it's stress or anxiety (i didn't think i FELT anxious) but hubby had called me right before i walked in to tell me he is being med-boarded out of the Army and it would be final in about 6mo...i guess on the inside i started to get upset and it affected my test....sigh...so this past weekend i went to a workshop for CPNE (because i thought I'd have passed my LAST exam by then =) and learned all i need to know for it and feel really confident. I emailed EC and they will not drop down the wait time to 30 days, the soonest i can re-take LS3 is Aug 11th so between now and then, I'm going to just work on cpNE stuff and LS3 that way when i pass it in Aug i can immediately do FCCA and the i'll just take a CPNE cancellation date...so i still should be done by Sept, which is only 2 mo later than what i originally wanted to do but that's okay =) My plan got messed up but the end goal of being an RN in 2011 is still doable! =) Just a little bummed right now, but it's no one's fault but my own! One thing is for sure though I better get an A on LS3 the third try =) that will bring my GPA up higher anyway for BSN school LOL good luck to everyone testing this month, i may not be on here much as i start to work hard on memorizing everything i need for CPNE and LS3 but i'll be on the ECE facebook page a lot =) :yeah:

sorry to hear about ls3 tasha, i love it "my time line has changed but my end goal is the same!" never thought about it that way... thanks. like you i was doing so well, so even thought my guts had told me to re-schedule ls2 i went ahead to took the test... failed big time that was 2 weeks ago.... now i have nightmares everynight, last weekend i was dreaming about the 3 parts of the brain, last night it was the cerebellum (what the help) lol...so stressful, since i still had ls3 i moved on to ls3 has you can tell by my dreams lol... good luck we will make it.

How long did they shorten the wait time to? Or is it the same wait time. I too was unsuccessful on LS3 for a seocnd time. I got three out of four areas good to go though so I am going to request an early retest (after 45days) when it is all I have left. Hopefully they will allow it, or I will do it your way and do all my CPNE prep stuff while waiting for the restest. Then I should also be able to complete before my next set of pending orders. I know you will knock the CPNE and the LS3 out of the park.

MsPC,

I too failed LS3, twice. When I retested for the third time they shortened my time to 90 days instead of 120... I passed the third time!! I swear the test was much easier third time around!! good luck to you, let me know if you need help!

Keep your chin up Tasha, you are so motivated and you have such an awesome attitude. I remember when I first started posting here how much I learned from you!!! You will finish this year with the rest of us, I have no doubts :-)

So sorry Tasha, I too got a D on LS2 in December and then three weeks later a D on LS3. Really depressed me and seriously thought about quitting but my husband wouldn't let me. God Bless him!!! Just retook LS2 yesterday and passed but I know what you mean the nerves are horrible and my palms were sweating throughout the whole test. You have a great attitude and you can do this. We will be RN's by the end of 2011!!!!:lol2::lol2::lol2:

I had failed LS 1 and LS 3, right after each other. I had to change up my studying style. Instead of memorization, I had to focus on the disease, meds used and what else it affected. I know you will do it, I have been saving my wound for you, every since I finished. We have al. Been through this journey together. Study for your Cpne, learn your care plans, do them in 5-7 minutes, and you will be ahead of the game. Your grid and mnemonics will save your butt, when you can't think, they will clue you on missed steps during an assessment, learn them well. If you need anything PM me and I will send you my phone number.

Hang in there Tasha! It sounds like you have a great plan with your prep work for CPNE now so you will be ready for it when it gets here. This is such a tough program. I can't believe how everything else has been left on the side now until I am finished (making me want to finish even faster!) Looks like your workshop was a great success!! Sherri's is going to be too far for me to go to, so I am going to try EC WI workshop in July, provided I can ever finish ls3 and tran! Take care!!
