My simple method to pass the NCLEX

Published

here's what i did to pass the nclex.

1) saunders 4th edition (the blue book)- read all the chapters, make sure you answer the questions at the end. (i skipped peds/ob/medications part) but if you're weak in these areas, i suggest you do them.

2) prioritization, delegation, and assignment by lachirty. this book is a must. do the whole book including the case studies.

3) kaplan q bank. if you can't afford it.. buy the kaplan 2010-2011 book. i believe it's only like $30. complete the book and make sure you do the cd.

i completed these 3-steps in this exact order.

side notes:

-know your basic labs

-know what airborne, droplet, contact precautions are and the diseases that fall under them. (ex. tb is airborne)

-make sure you know what foods contain calcium, potassium, iron, zinc.. etc.

best of luck to you all and hope you're successful!

I appreciate your reply. :yeah:

Such advise will be put to practice.

Thank you so much!

All the best to you.....:nurse:

Thanks for posting your schedule, I've been out of school a full week know and start Kaplan on Monday. This was really helpful in trying to figure out my schedule.
