here's what i did to pass the nclex.
1) saunders 4th edition (the blue book)- read all the chapters, make sure you answer the questions at the end. (i skipped peds/ob/medications part) but if you're weak in these areas, i suggest you do them.
2) prioritization, delegation, and assignment by lachirty. this book is a must. do the whole book including the case studies.
3) kaplan q bank. if you can't afford it.. buy the kaplan 2010-2011 book. i believe it's only like $30. complete the book and make sure you do the cd.
i completed these 3-steps in this exact order.
side notes:
-know your basic labs
-know what airborne, droplet, contact precautions are and the diseases that fall under them. (ex. tb is airborne)
-make sure you know what foods contain calcium, potassium, iron, zinc.. etc.
best of luck to you all and hope you're successful!

You had a pretty good study plan. I used this same plan in addition to memorizing the infection control mnemonic and it equaled a pass for me too.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! My study plan was similar to yours as well, with some extras added. Led to a pass for me also!

Congratulations for passing....
I am planning to take my NCLEX soon.
How long did you study for the NCLEX?
I studied for 1 month, 3-4 hours a day. I also recommend buying a notebook and taking notes while reading the Saunders book. When you finish, having notes is very useful to review.
