That's more than I probably would have put. Good job, and good luck! :)

(Hey, which catagory does the bladder and uterus fall into?)

Well I am impressed!!

diaphragm? It sits on top of the liver so I don't know if it is considered RUQ or thoracic.

RLQ- Ileum some jejunum I believe ( retroperitoneal).

Looks pretty thorough :)

Hypograstric would be my guess.

Yeah, but that's not dividing it by quadrants though. If you were to do that you'd have to say what is in the epigastric, hypochondriac, etc.

hmmmmm. I don't know. Actually, the kidneys would be in the posterior area, but still stated if you were to cut a cadaver in quadrants.

Do you only list the abdominal organs?

Things that make you go hmmmmm. lol

Like I said earlier, there's more there than I would have put, so I think the list is great. :)

LOL Yea how could I have not included the small intestine....See there was a reason I posted this for you guys to critique, I just knew I was overlooking something... How in the world did I miss the small intestine? (scratches head) :)

Thanks Achoo :)

You are so funny Fun2care LOL. The bladder and uterus would be in the hypogastric region. According to my patho prof. the 4 quads are used for external palpatations of the abdomen. The only reason I included the kidneys and your right they are posterior but he made a comment about not forgeting the kidneys. He wouldn't give us all the organs because he said it was for extra credit and if we wanted the credit we needed to research it. I was up for the challenge but when I started doing the research on (in my A&P book, patho book, my Netter's illustrated anatomy book and the internet) I was coming up with conflicting information. They had the horizontal divide in different locations, for example, one had the line at the naval, another had it about an inch below the naval and then another had it above the naval. This obviously would put different parts of an organ in a different quadrant. So I will add the duodenum, jujenum and ileum to my list and call it complete LOL. I still cant believe I left out the small intestine!

Thanks to all who posted, I think I am ready for that extra credit quiz LOL. Maybe.

I didn't even notice the small intestine wasn't listed. LOL!

I remember having a question like this as well, and I do remember how hard it was to find definite answers. I put they kidneys on my list as well, but also noted that they were not actually in the peritoneal cavity.

Don't forget the ileocecal valve! :clown:
