My odds of getting hired at NYP

Published

Hey, So I have worked for NYP (all the main ones - Columbia & MSCH, Cornell, Lawrence, Westchester, and Lower manhattan & allen) for 5 years now as an infection prevention liaison which is why I work in a different NYP everyday. I lovee my department and most of my recommendations would come from there as well as my professors. They are paying some of my nursing school expenses thru tuition reimbursement. I am in an accelerated BSN program (this is my second BS) from CMSV. I am graduating december 2021 and planning to take NCLEX by feb. Has there been any previous workers for the hospital that found the process of getting hired thru them easier ? I can apply thru workday too our internal job search for employee database. In addition I will be working my clinicals 7-7 in Morgan stanley childrens hosp in peds, so Im thinking this will also help. It's where I am praying to get hired. Anyone who previously work at NYP before getting hired as an RN, Any advice.

I have the same question, I am currently working at NYP and recently graduated with my BSN degree. I applied online through the workday portal, but still all my application status are 'application submitted' and have not change and heard anything back. I am planning to speak to my current manager and see if they can help or refer me to someone from the nursing department. By the way I work with the IT department, so its a total change of career...

Wow, congratulations on graduating getting hired at NYP. MAJOR accomplishment! Which campus are you at? I put 93k on my questionnaire... Yikes.

That's fine. I put 75k when I filled out that form LOL

I'm from one of the main campuses of NYP.

Do u mind if I private message you? I have a few questions!

I am in that process as well, where I have to fill out questionnaire of the salary I would like. Is it still 101k or has that changed?
