In the big wide world a nurse book club going under is not big deal. But I was thinking about why. My guess is that online book sales like Amazon and Half Price are burying them. I have been sending in that neg. option card for years. Once in a while they carried something that interested me and I bought it. Most people run into trouble with book clubs because they do not send in their neg. option card and recieve books they don't want. I never had that problem. Well maybe I am lying, in 20 years it happend perhaps three times. :hpygrp:

Was that the Nurses Book Society? I used to have a subscription to this one years ago. I loved it! I bought so many wonderful books. I then realized how much I was actually spending over time and cancelled, but I had the subscription for years. They would ship the featured book(s) to you every month or two if you didn't return the decline card back to them. Later on, they would let you decline on line, which was much better.
I did get a few books that I didn't really want when I was late (or didn't) return the card. But, they would let you return any book you weren't happy with.
Sorry to hear they are closing shop.

I have such a bad memory, that I would certainly be charged out the wazoo for books because I don't return decline cards. I'm cool with getting nursing book updates from Amazon, though.
