My numbers on the waiting list

I was #8 in line this morning at 5:42am. When the doors opened at 8am I was number #128 on the waiting list to get into the RN program! So there was 120 waiting from last semester still. I may have a VERY slight chance of starting in Fall 2004 or for sure in Fall 2005

So I went over to LPN as well and I am #93 there. I will more than likely start in Summer 2004 or Spring 2005.

I only have Micro and A&P II left so I will have to just wait. Of course I will take other classes as well but man this really stinks! I am not sure which one I will go with though.

Wow! I wonder how many schools maintain waiting lists that they carry over from year to year! Seems like they ought to start clean each year, if you ask me!

Thanks I really hope I can get in a lot sooner as well. Also we were told that about 70 people dropped of the waiting list so there is some hope!!

Good Luck.. Several people do end up dropping off the list for a number or reasons, so there is hope..

my school starts clean.. they only take 60 with no waitlist so its crazy competitive!!

Isn't it just a shame, though, that there are SO many people who want to get into this profession, an urgent need for new nurses, and no space in the programs to teach the ones who are willing to learn...

Too bad something hasn't been done.

For fall I am taking A&P II, CPR class and a PE class. just so i can have 6 credits for loan purposes.

In the spring I just have micro but I was thinking of taking a spanish class while waiting

I really wish they would do something about it. So many people got depressed when they heard when they will be able to start. It really stinks. We asked if they planned on opening a new class and they said no to due to funds, clinical sites and lack of faculty

Good luck to you. Our school always has a waiting list, too. There are so many people going into nursing these days and not enough instructors/schools to accomodate them.
