Hi Patty,
I saw your post and had to reply. I too became a grandmother the same year I started nursing school. Not only that, I also hit the half century mark that year. Now, two years later my I passed my NCLEX three days prior to my granddaughter's second birthday. Currently hunting for a job which is proving more difficult than nursing school, or so it seems at least at the moment.
By the way, my daughter and granddaughter live 1800 miles away, so I feel your pain. I wish you the best of luck in NS. The time will fly by in a flash...

Hi. :) I just wondered when you graduated and how long you have been looking for a job. Also, where do you live?
Thank you everyone for the comments. We are pretty excited. I am really glad there is such a thing as Skype. :)

I am 48 and I have been accepted into an ADN program starting in the fall. We are also expecting our first grandchild.....In January! My daughter and her husband live 10 hours away, so we won't be able to see them until March. That is going to be murder for me. LOL Anyway, I just wanted to share. It is going to be a very interesting year. :w00t:
