About to graduate from an LVN-RN bridge program in about a week. After taking boards I would like to get a job at a hospital. Which floor do you recommend a new RN to start out on? Ive been in long term care for the last 5 years.

I recommend starting where your interest lies ....or on whichever floor is willing to hire you.

Whichever one wants to hire you.

Specializes in ICU, ER, NURSING EDUCATION.

General med surg- hone your skills as a new nurse and you'll get an idea of what specialty really interests you: cardiac, orthopedics, GI, etc.

Good luck with the next chapter in your nursing career!
