My Face Feels Big

First of all, I am not looking for medical advice. I already know there is absolutely nothing in the world that is going to make me feel better. I just want to whine, that's all.

My face feels big,

I can't quit coughing,

I cough until I barf,

My nose won't stop running,

My eyeballs itch,

My everything hurts.

Ever felt so bad you didn't want to go to the drug store or grocery store for cough syrup? NyQuil? Halls Cough Drops? I'm sitting here thinking that I really need to go get some stuff (of course I have absolutely nothing in the house, b/f is a doc and we have drug samples of Effexor, Wellbutrin XR, stuff NOBODY needs samples of in their house) but I just can't haul my dead butt off my couch and face the cold. It's gotta be 50(F) out and when you live in the desert, that's COLD!

Do you think we would have drug samples of anything good? Amantidine? Delsym (sp?)?? Anything USEFUL? Oh my goodness NO!

You know how lazy I am? My pharmacy delivers but only if you are getting an Rx. I was thinking of calling my doc tomorrow and having him call in Ibu 400 just because it's an rx and they would deliver NyQuil with it.

This is even worse. I don't have anything in the house to feed my dogs but they both love Chinese food. I ordered Chinese to be delivered for the dogs. They are both still urping up Beef and Broccoli.

How long do you guys usually call in sick from work? Just until you can't pass it around anymore?

As long as you are ordering chinese, get the hot and sour soup, it works like magic on congestion and sinus problems. Really. I thought maybe this was a thread about someone having an allergic reaction.:chuckle

Actually, Chinese was last night, they got pizza tonight.

Whatever is going around is really awful. Just running my hand over my arm hurts my skin. Not kidding! My joints ache, I can't breathe, I can't take a deep breath, I can't quit coughing.

This flu or whatever it is truly is awful.

And do you pee your pants? I do.

So I try not to get into any hard laughing or coughing fits.

UNless I'm real close to a bathroom.

Hi Bipley ~ I can certainly empathize with you since I had the same thing last week. High fever, lungs that feel as though they are filled with fiberglass, gunky wheezing cough, aching all over (even my hair hurt). I was down for a week. Luckily I don't have any dogs to take care of....my cat and parrot were neglected as it was. Oh, and I did have some cherry Nyquil, but it didn't do anything to relieve the symptoms. What worked for me was hot showers, Throat Coat tea, Vicks vaporub, and lots of Tylenol. I hope you are feeling better soon.

YES! That's it! Putting lotion on hurts because my skin hurts. My muscles are tender, my joints hurt, but mostly yes... fiberglass lungs! Breathing almost feels like it doesn't do any good and I start to breathe quickly trying to get my O2 sats up! :chuckle My temp is down to 101 and that has really made a huge difference.

I was down for a week. Luckily I don't have any dogs to take care of....my cat and parrot were neglected as it was. I'm doing Sudafed, Cherry NyQuil, Motrin, and Hall's. It's helping a little, especially the Motrin.

I hope you are feeling better. I know just the feeling about being to sick to go get any medicine! It made me LOL to know I wasn't the only one that does that. Anyways, I do hope you are feeling better.
