My CA-LVN Timeline

World Registration

Published

I'll start my timeline here.

Background information. I'm a Philippine graduate, 2013, passed PNLE 1st try right after, and NCLEX-RN Texas 1st try on December 2, 2014. Didn't bother attempting to apply for CA-BRN, because I'd throw money at the concurrency, knowing that the 3 year clock would start. US born citizen with SS as well.

December 4, 2014 sent the following packet. (Also used this as part of my cover sheet for LVN application) (I edited out personal information) (Feel free to use)

*Payment of $150 in the form of a check to BVNPT

*Application for vocational nurse licensure in California, completed and signed

*Record of conviction, completed and signed. (2 pages)

*Sealed envelope from my college, containing my transcripts and record of nursing program

*Envelope with one 2x2 picture

*Finished live scan fingerprinting form

*Photocopy of my diploma from High School

*Photocopy of my Philippine nursing license

*Photocopy of my college diploma

December 6 sent email to BVNPT asking about the declaration form. I read up on AllNurses that some people managed to get the declaration form ahead of time, instead of having to wait for them. Basic paraphrase, some edits.

I am aware that it's too early for us to inquire if you have received it yet, but my concern is about the "declaration of nursing education" also known as the yellow form. I read online that we are able to request this yellow form ahead of time (Before or after sending our application), to help speed up the process, by sending it back to the BVNPT, before you guys request it from us.

So the question is, am I able to request two of these yellow forms to fill out the declaration of nursing education? If yes, may you send it to the following address?

December 8, early morning they replied (Quite fast, I commend them on that)

Hello Good Morning,

We will mail you two forms, today.

Their reply was so simple lol. I should have asked them for the declaration form, before sending my application, so that it would all be in the same folder, but wasn't aware that we could get it ahead of time. I highly recommend that you get it before you apply, so that it's all together when they receive it. (They should really just include the yellow declaration form as a downloadable on their site)

So that's pretty much where I'm at. Now gotta wait 2 months or so.

Someone posted that when they called on december 17, they were processing october 16 i think.

hello I have a question about the yellow from question number 5. does it mean only hospital? what about other facilities we had our clinical?

I just did my hospitals. Didnt include immersion, community, or other non hospital level kind of thigs.

By the way, called on January 15 and asked what they're processing, they said December 1 applications.

December 4 application sent.

December 5 requested declaration form.

December 11 received declaration form, started fillig out.

December 15 declaration form sent.

December 16 checks cashed out.

January 30 got my "ATT", which will be generated when I make a Pearson Vue account they said.

Now all I have to do now is schedule.

Total time, 57 days or around 8 weeks.

February 7 I scheduled to take the NCLEX PN at the end of the month, which was the closest date available.

ATT deadline/expiration date is the last day to sit the exam. Otherwise you need to reregister and pay again.

Thank you for the info I appreciate it

February 25, Exam day at 8 AM. Came in at 7 AM, first to get a number, they let me start the exam process at 7:30 AM. Was done outside the building by 9 AM, finished at 85 Questions, the minimum.

Either I bombed it or did spectacular. Seeing as how I already passed the NCLEX-RN back in December, I am optimistic.

February 25, 13 hours after my exam, I did PVT (I know, I know, I should have waited 24 hours to be sure)

PVT, using an empty but valid Visa gift card. Good pop up.

CA BVNPT takes a while, I'll call up next week to ask if I passed or not, but at least my PVT was good, but not getting my hopes up in case I get my hopes crushed.

Hi i just want to ask if the eligibility letter the ATT? Or you get the ATT after registering to pearson? And is there a test schedule on a Saturday? Thanks i know u passed theaverageman. Keep us posted. :)

I think they're the same. It gets generated when you register and pay 200. No schedules on Saturday that I saw.
