You need relaxing stuff; most patients are a bit stressed and worried in the waiting room. I'd suggest any of the following: Enya, vintage Shadows, popular classics, Simon & Garfunkel, or any of Paul Simon's solo albums, Cat Stevens, any of the modern balladeers, etc etc.
I like rock 'n roll too, but I would hardly call it relaxing

I stream yahoo music in my office - but it's more for me - 80s music, sometimes big band or swing.
Relaxing music for patients - maybe some piano music from Jim Brickman or a few kenny g albums will fit the bill
Thanks everyone!

Big Band! I think it's better than the soft rock/easy listening they usually play in doctors' offices. Look up Ultra Lounge Records. They have an *amazing* selection of all kinds of vintage lounge, exotica, swing, bossa nova, jazz, etc.
Pink Martini is a modern lounge band that i really like too.
