MUSC Spring 2020 ABSN

Published

The application for MUSC's Spring 2020 ABSN program doesn't open until July 1st, but I am putting some feelers out there to see who is applying and hoping to start the thread for this semesters admissions process.

Let me know! Happy applying ya'll!

Are you applying for spring as well or have already been accepted? I had an audit done before I retook the statistics class I failed and at that time my cumulative was a 3.396 but has now gone up since I retook it and got a B+. At the time I submitted my application I had 65 hours volunteering in a free clinic.

I am applying as well for Spring 2020

Hey everyone!

I finished my application recently and am super nervous! My undergrad GPA is decent around a 3.6 but my pre-req GPA isn't the highest. I'm also out of state so that makes me even more nervous. Does anyone know how many they accepted last year vs how many applied?

I hope we hear back sooner than later!

Hi! I was reading the thread from last year and it said they accepted 69 in state and 31 out of state but I dont think that is the same number for every year!

does anyone know when we're supposed to hear back about admission if we applied priority? the wait is killing me!!

Here are the final numbers for Spring 2020: 99 in-state applications and 101 out-of-state applications. So far, 15 in-state applicants and 14 out-of-state applicants have been accepted. 1 in-state applicant has been denied. I'm not sure when priority applicants will hear!

Thanks for the update! The anticipation is killing me. They notify by email first or just mail?

Are the 29 that have been accepted the priority applicants?

I’m also wondering this. Did the comment mean that those 29 people had been accepted by admissions and they just haven’t sent out the notifications yet? I hope so! I haven’t heard anything yet and I applied priority.

Yes I think that’s what she meant. I also applied priority and haven’t heard anything yet! I’m debating on giving them a call today!

Yes! 29 applicants (15 in-state and 14 out-of-state) were selected for priority admission. I believe the 1 deny was a mistake, as it now says the remaining 84 in-state and 87 out-of-state applications are all still in progress (no denies as of this morning).
