MUSC Accelerated BSN

Does anyone know if this is a good program? I'm thinking about applying for it for Fall '08, but I don't know anyone who has gone to the school. I would love to know anything from quality of faculty to design of the program to how difficult it is to get accepted. Do most people who start the program graduate? Does anyone work during the program? Really anything would be very appreciated!

I wish we could take bets on who will be first to call if we haven't heard by March 21! You guys should put some money on me, as much as I'll be trying to hold back!

Is anyone applying for the Spring 2012 class? I am currently taking pre-reqs (Micro and A&P) and will be done by the end of the summer...kinda mad that I didn't apply for the fall class. I have a 3.4 cumulative GPA and a BS in Biology. Do they generally accept more people who already have a Bachelors degree? Or does it not really matter? Does anyone have any tips or advice for people who may be applying for the spring? Anything would help me really, I am relatively new to this :-) Thanks!!

Welcome Shane,The only advice I can give is be prepared to wait for your acceptance letter! lol. We are all going nuts here waiting to see if we got in. Until then, I can't really tell you what got us there (or not). Good luck!

When I talked to LH about when we would be hearing, she said they were meeting the first week in March and that decisions would be going out mid-month. I am still holding out hope that we start to hear late this week to early next week. Please, oh please, oh please!!!

Would it be acceptable to call and ask if were accepted? I've heard of certain programs telling applicants their statuses over the phone.

I just started at MUSC this past January. I just wanted to wish everyone good luck in the process! Oh and you get a big white envelope if you get in. I definitely stalked my mailman everyday for two weeks, but he was cool about it. :) If anyone has questions, let me know. I look forward to meeting ya'll in the Fall!

You get the big white envelope. I don't recall anyone ever getting a call...good luck everyone, it's about that time!!

You get a call if you get a small envelope telling you that you are an alternate. I graduate in May. I was an alternate and got a call a few days later telling me I was in. I don't know if they care about already having a BA or BS but in my class there is maybe 5 that don't already have a degree.

I called MUSC earlier and they haven't even look at the applicants yet. They told me that they will get together and review it tomorrow 3.10.11
