Which scholarships are you guys applying for? I guess, more specifically, are these non-MUSC scholarships?

Would it be acceptable to call and ask if were accepted? I've heard of certain programs telling applicants their statuses over the phone.

Well, Ms. Hudson told me the admissions committee will meet to make final decisions the first Monday in March, and decisions are mailed about two weeks later. I wonder if they'll meet this upcoming Monday, Feb. 28, or if they'll wait til March 7. I'm sure it'll be March 7, and we'll be notified around the third week in March, a month away. The suspense is really killing me.

I think MUSC notifies applicants by the 15th of February. The program page says about one month after the deadline.

Hi, I have a question regarding my chances. Last year I graduated with a B.S. from Clemson in Biological Sciences. I'm currently employed at MUSC as a Research Specialist in a micro lab. The P.I. is investigating microbial bioburden in the MICU. I sample surfaces in the MICU patient rooms at UMH and VA twice a week. I've also been volunteering at a nurses station in the hospital once a week since March. My UGPA isn't competitive; it's a 2.97 (some programs consider anything above a 2.95 to be a "3.0"). My pre-req GPA as-is is at least a 3.0. It may be higher, but I don't have my transcript available. I'm about to enroll in Statistics and Psychology at Trident in the spring. I know I can ace these classes because I've matured and have acknowledged and corrected the issues that hindered my success in undergrad. I want to apply to the ABSN program for Fall 2011. However, I've been reading the average GPA accepted is considerably higher than mine. One poster said someone told her the NS cut off above a 3.15 the semester she applied. Am I to understand that SAT scores are no longer evaluated? I took the SAT when the max score was 1600, and my score was a 1270. I'm an african american male, not that my sex and race would be important. But yeah, all that said, do I stand a chance? Edit: Congrats to those who've been accepted for the spring!
