Hi everyone!!!
I wanted to go ahead and make a thread for MUSC's Spring 2015 hopefuls. I know it is a little bit early to start this thread, but I am just so excited. I am looking forward to everyone stats and encouragement for each other. Looking forward to the results!!!
whelp, it's almost that time for you priority admissions folks! 3 more days until the deadline! *sigh*...I wish it were September all ready...Please keep us posted if you receive any kind of communication from MUSC on your application!
I can tell you from previous experience with my other two submissions that you will have no correspondence and they quote that you will find out about a month after but its really two months later...at least with regular admission it is.

Yeah, I contacted someone in admissions a few weeks ago to inquire how long it would take for the regular admissions applicants to find out...I was told 4-6 weeks after the deadline. I nearly died!! lol
I am a program coordinator for the Hollings Cancer Center Research Clinical Trials, I work downtown so when it rains I have to swim home pretty much haha.. what about you?
I work for the Dept of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, but off site in west ashley! I dont have to swim, thank goodness! :) because I can't swim and would probably drown haha.
Yes they're really nice, a few chairs of admission work in my building and I always ask them questions in the elevators about the application their biggest pointers were to stick to the 100 word essay limit and that grades are the biggest factor in the application process. I have a 3.25 cumulative and when I emailed Mardi why I was rejected twice the average cumulative GPA for applicants for Fall 2014 was 3.68..But they said they raised the number of applicants from 66 to 80 accepted!! :) They also said spring was a lot easier to get in instead of Fall

WOW!!! You got the inside schoop on what's going on. Thank you for sharing. I was reading through other threads about MUSC and I gathered that they put a lot of emphasis on the essay. So i made sure I answered the question and stayed within the 100 word limit. I am also glad they increased the number of seats!! That makes me feel a WHOLE lot better. Well, I guess we just have to sit back and see what happens...
