MUSC ABSN Spring 2015

Hi everyone!!!

I wanted to go ahead and make a thread for MUSC's Spring 2015 hopefuls. I know it is a little bit early to start this thread, but I am just so excited. I am looking forward to everyone stats and encouragement for each other. Looking forward to the results!!!

I was looking into CRNA too BUT....I HATE chemistry....I just can't get past it lol. I BARELY got through organic!! But yes some of the doctors that I work with have like 29 pages for their CV!! So yes if you have a lot of things you want to highlight, use a CV instead of a resume. Don't sell yourself short!

I'm not a fan of it either but I had an awesome professor. I may change my mind but BSN is definitely not my stopping point.

Yes but I have shadowing, it's kind of an internship where you just observe, it counts for volunteering.

I emailed her first and asked her if she would mind reviewing my resume. She said she didn't mind. So I just emailed it to her. She wouldn't give me any odds of getting in but she did say my resume would fulfill the 3 PTA for volunteering.

Great! I just wanted to make sure that you got points.

Hey Jessicnw! Ok so I emailed the lady who reviewed my transcripts! She told me my resume would get the full 3 points and I didn't have to add any volunteer work because it wouldn't help. I work a lot and have little ones so I was worried about spreading myself to thin. They give you points for each thing they evaluate. All you have to do is ask!! Where at in Mb?

Well it was a surprise, baby Jaxson Drake Harris, is set to be born on Halloween day. I know I can do it!

AWWWWW!!! How exciting!!! I just added you. But yes, you have that motivation so I know you will be just fine! And yes, MUSC loves SC residents!! This is the one time where I love being a South Carolinian :yes:

I'm also applying for the spring class. I graduated last May, 2013, from Clemson with a BS in Biology but my GPA wasn't the best and that is my main concern. It was a 3.15 but my pre-reg gpa is a 3.6. I also started working at McLeod Hospital here in Florence in June as a patient care tech in the PACU so I'm hoping that helps some. I see where some of you have sent your transcripts in to be evaluated by someone. Can someone please give me the contact info of the person that did this for you? I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Hey, welcome! I never sent my transcripts in to be evaluated. Hopefully some of the others will chime in shortly.

It's on the website they mostly make sure you have all of your classes. And that you know that they count every grade even if you retake a class let me see if I can grab email address
