Hi everyone!!!
I wanted to go ahead and make a thread for MUSC's Spring 2015 hopefuls. I know it is a little bit early to start this thread, but I am just so excited. I am looking forward to everyone stats and encouragement for each other. Looking forward to the results!!!
Hi guys...I am applying to MUSC for spring 2015 as well. Although I'm from Arizona, I love this program since they have CRNA school as well. I ultimately want to become a CRNA. I have a science GPA of 4.0 and overall GPA of 3.8. Mardi evaluated my transcript last month. I just started volunteering for a local hospital here. The only problem is the program is expensive if you are out of state grrr!!! I am looking at priority admission tho. GOOD LUCK to you all! I know we will all be classmates someday soon:)
You have an excellent GPA. With volunteer hours, I'm pretty sure you will get in! But yes, for out of staters, it is extremely expensive. You will no doubt qualify for some of the big scholarships MUSC has though.
Is anyone planning on working during the program? I am trying to look for / apply for some big scholarships that will take care of my tuition & fees but just in case....I am looking at some part time positions. Bad idea? lol.

Yes Mocapoca, I am banking on those scholarships big time. I planned to work as a nursing tech after the first two blocks. Remember its a fast paced program but part-time should be fine. For the South Carolinians, what is the average rent around the Charleston area?

Renting in the downtown area near MUSC is pretty expensive. (Like $1100+ for little small cottages and houses). Not bad if you have roommates but it can def put a dent in your pocket if you are doing this solo. You can find reasonable places in West Ashley, Mount Pleasant and North Charleston. Those places aren't far from downtown at all and you can get more bang for your buck. Dont really know an average rate for those places though...
I'm surprised no one else has joined group. The app deadline is slowly approaching. Maybe that means lack of applicants haha!
That makes it good for us! LOL. But I hear applications for the spring are less popular than the fall...But we can use that to our advantage!
I've been dealing with a cold for the past 3 weeks (and so this has taken my mind off of being so anxious) but it did dawn on me yesterday that the deadline is coming up soon! I'm sooooo excited, I can hardly wait.

Me to I haven't submitted it yet due to me wanting it perfect but I will probably wrap it up soon!
Hello All! I just completed my application last night, applying for priority admission in Spring. I'm a non-trad student - an older guy, married with kids, working on a career change. I'm currently at Trident Tech, and have two pre-reqs left to finish in Fall - micro and stats. Excited about nursing school, hope to get in. Good luck to all!
