Deadline is only a few weeks away - roll call! I was accepted for this semester but I have to repeat a prereq and reapply. >:-/ Spent this break licking my wounds and getting ready to tackle this term!

You were accepted into the program last semester, Right! if so, how is nursing classes so far with u, I mean what advice u have for new students.

I was, but I had to reapply because I had to repeat a prereq. I'm taking Professionalism this semester - that's the only one you can take without actually being in the nursing program.

I took patho last semester as well and I wasn't accepted into the nursing program. You just have to get special permission. PATHO IS HARRDDDD BTW!!!!

Mr.dnp23 who was your instructor for patho? we might have had the same class.

What kind of permission? Do u mean being a transit student? I was able to take patho last year if i was a transit student, but then I liked MTSU and I decided to be a student there and I ended up not taking that class. Is it like microbiology? I had a lot of difficulties in that class in remembering the name of diseases and bacteria.

I will be in my last semester this Fall!! Just wanted to say good luck to you all!! It'll be over before you know it!

shelly, I'll email you the name of my teacher I had for patho. Did you guys already setup your accusource accnt?

I have a question for those of you who applied to other schools...how did you do it? I don't want to transfer and then not be accepted by that school and not be at Mtsu. I am planning on applying at Cumberland and they are hard to get on the phone to ask questions. Can you apply and not be a student at that school?

You have to be accepted to the school before you can apply to the nursing program. You don't have to be an actual student (enrolled in classes) to apply to a nursing program. Each school has their own per-reqs. Cumberland accepts everyone that applys as long as they meet all requirements. That us why do many people go there.

Yecartem- Keep calling them. If you have to go online and find the direct numbers to the advisors and call them until you reach someone. I haven't had trouble contacting anyone yet and everyone there has been super nice. You have to apply to the university and then the nursing program. To be admitted you have to have a 3.0 GPA, pass the Kaplan nursing entrance test which is similar to the HESI, and write a letter to the committee stating why you should be admitted to the nursing program. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need to know anything else.

Thank you! I'll call again tomorrow!
