Hi Everyone!! Just starting a thread for Mt SAC ADN Spring 2023.
Welcome!! This thread is for all those prospective students who have applied for Mt San Antonio College's ADN program for Spring of 2023. It'll be great to get to know each other a bit before January, so feel free to tell a little bit about yourself. Also, please ask any questions you have. Let's help each other out as we all hope to get in the program this Spring!!

I have 81 points and he said I was in the top 20 applicants, so expect a call from the nursing department some time in November. Hopefully this information helps to ease those in the low 80s range!
Thanks for the information! Now it's just a waiting game. I hate this part.. LOL
Congrats everyone for making it this far!! Pursing a career in nursing is not for the faint of heart.
Okay!! So sorry!! I just figured out how to see people who tried to add to the facebook group. I approved them now. Here's the link again for anyone who still needs it: https://fb.me/g/p_LHdPE5m4XRkQwWHn/81szhcPf

The counselor I spoke to didn't mention anything about letters. He just said expect a call some time in November & if you don't receive a call by the end of November, give the nursing department a call.

The last day to schedule an appt with a counselor is Monday Nov 14th. The official review should take place after this date. My counselor said emails with orientation instructions will be sent out mid-late November.
Hey guys! Congratulations on getting through this application process! I know it can be overwhelming and stressful. My name is Erica Aguayo and I am in the program right now. I am a first-semester student hoping to move forward for the second semester if I pass pharmacology LOL. In my experience, when I went through the application process, everyone who got a counseling appointment for the most part got in. I had 76 points without the TEAS but once I took the TEAS exam, I believe I had 78 overall. I think the cut-off score was 78 but literally, everyone who was an alternate got in!! There are like 20 alternate spots, so if anyone falls into that position don't lose hope!
if anyone has questions about the program and how the first semester is, feel free to reach out to me

Thank you so much for the encouragement! How hard is the first semester without using a calculator? What is your weekly schedule like? Thank you!

Your welcome! I’m glad to help! Honestly I’m not going to lie, it is hard the first few weeks being able to adapt to no calculator but it’s doable!! It’s just so time consuming because we don’t get so much time on our exams. On our first ones we got about 50 min for 15 math problems and 20 multiple choice I believe. But it’s doable!!
My weekly schuedule :
First semester is split into two parts N1A and N1B. Each part is 8 weeks! If you don’t pass N1A you can’t move forward to N1B.
N1A schuedule:
Monday: Theory day (7am-3pm) Break : 11am-1pm
Tuesday and Wednesday: Clinical day (at school) 6:30am - 3pm Break: usually 11am-12 but depends!
Thursday: Pharmacology from 7:30 am - 10:20 pm
N1B: okay so now that you’re in N1B you are able to choose a clinical day and clinical site.
Monday: theory day (7am-3pm) break: 11am-1pm
Tuesday: clinical day option
Wednesday clinical day option
Friday clinical day option
you can choose one of these days for your clinicals. For example, I chose Tuesdays, so I get Wednesday off to catch up and study. Then,
Thursday : pharm 7:30am- 10:20am
hope this helps!! Good luck guys you got this!
