Mt. Sac Nursing Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello everyone,

I decided to make this post to connect with others who will be applying to Mt. Sac's program for the Spring of 2019. After calculating my points for the multicriteria screening I'm currently at 52 points before the Hesi. I'm scheduled to take the Hesi on the 31st. Really hoping to end up with 77-80 points, I've read that the cutoff is usually around 77 points so I'm praying that will be the case this year as well. Although I saw a comment on the Fall 2018 thread & someone got in with 72 points as an alternate. I'll also be applying to Chaffey, San Bernardino Valley & .

Good luck everyone!

Yea. You have to use the full site option.

Yay! Congrats, everyone! See you all in January. =) So exciting!

I also got an alternate email ! *Fingers Crossed*

Another waiting game ! I wonder how many alternates there are total

When I went to my counseling appointment in September, the counselor told me they choose 20 alternatives for orientation.

does anyone know about the schedule when we get into the program? I heard a rumor ( but not sure) that it will be from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday. Please respond if anyone knows. Thanks you

So from what I have figured out through the Mt.Sac website and reading previous forums is that the lectures are twice a week and clinicals are twice a week. Monday is NURS 1A from 7 to 2pm ish with breaks and NURS 2 is Pharmacology that is the same time? First half of NURS 1A/1B is going to be lighter of course, you follow CNA's versus RN's, I think. I hear there is going to be a packet for math and such that needs to be done by the first day of orientation. Can't wait to get the orientation packet.

Thanks you smc_17. Can't wait to see you guys in January ;)

I talked to a patient at my job whose in her last semester at mt sac and like smc_17 said, mondays and Thursdays are lecture from 7 to about 3:30pm and you choose two days of clinicals. It can be Tuesday Wednesday, Friday Saturday or Saturday and Sunday and the sooner you're registration date, the better clinical sites you have available. My patient said she got a later date so one of her sites was a hospital in Whittier. And I think she said clinicals start in the 3rd week.

Thanks you will.to.nurse

Does anyone know, after we send an email to accept the position. Are they gonna send us an email to confirm by November 26 ( the deadline to accept the position). Thanks you

I don't think they email you back but you can always call for confirmation that they received it.

They just sent me back an email to confirm that they have received my response
