Nursing Students School Programs

Hello future nursing students! Is anyone applying to the Nursing Program this year 2017? What scores did you all place on the Hesi exam? I personally haven't taken the Hesi exam, but I do have my exam date next month (February 2017).;)

Hi,

I'm also applying for Fall 17. Do you know where we can take the HESI if we didn't schedule it at Mt sac?

thanks

Hi,:)

That's awesome!

No, I don't know. You should call the nursing program at Mt. Sac to see if their are any appointments available.

Good luck!!

Hi everyone,

I haven't seen many updates from any future 2017 pre nursing students. I hope we get this chat forum going so that we can have a smoothly welcoming and we get to chat with each other soon :) I just wanted to update you with my experience in the HESI for those of you who haven't taken it yet. I just submitted my Nursing application for this period 2017 so I hope I get selected to start on the FALL 2017. So, for the Mt. Sac HESI exam it is definitely time and you do NOT get to use a calculator for math but it was pretty basic which included fractions, word problem, ratios, proportions, one military time question that I remembered and a couple conversion problems. Anatomy and physiology was a mixture of everything. Honesty, I just reviewed from HESI book, did supplemental practice questions online and quizlet. The Reading section was similar to the practice exams given on the HESI A2. Now grammar was pretty EASY so do not worry so much in that section, but do practice online practice test. Lastly, the vocabulary section had some words from the HESI A2 practice book but not all, so just practice and their are plenty of practice exams online as well. Well if you have any questions feel free to let me know.

Thats awsome, good luck!

Regarding the A&P, would you say that the questions were similar in terms of difficulty to the official HESI practice tests?

what would I bring besides ID and pencil?

Also what's the time / #questions for each section? I'm not too familiar with the HESI

Thanks

Hello,

I also have applied for the fall 2017 period. I took my HESI well over 5 years ago, I am picking up where I left off so long ago haha. Good luck on your HESI!

I am also applying for the fall semester. I just took my HESI today.

Right on! Where did you take it? Did My sac open up spots or did you go to a testing center and if so, how did that work?

I'm applying with 76 points, not sure if it's enough.:sorry: The cut off points for spring was 77:smokin:

I took the HESI at a Prometric testing center. It went well, except for the fact that I got logged out during the test! I ended up getting a 94% overall, so I am really happy about that.

That's awesome. When I asked the mt. sac staff about taking it somewhere else they were perplexed and said they didn't know how the testing center would communicate with mt. sac. lol
