MT. SAC ADN FALL 2021

Published

Hi everyone, just wanted to check in with students that will be applying next month for the Mt. Sac ADN program for Fall 2021. Freaking out a little bit as this is my first round of nursing applications, and would love to find other people that feel my pain.

If I calculated correctly and they accept everything, I should have around 85 points. I saw in previous Mt. Sac threads that the cut off is around 77/78, which makes me feel slightly better.

How are you feeling? What are your scores, and have you applied before?

Are you planning on taking the TEAS/HESI before or after applications?

Has anyone heard anything about the Mt. Sac program?

Thanks in advance!

But in the zoom meeting they said to start sending the official transcripts because it is taking long. That is why I was confused. Thanks

I believe if you have completed courses at another college, mt sac will need the officials to have on record. If you only have classes at mt sac, then they'll just need the unofficials to be submitted with the Nursing application.

Sorry for this question but, I’ve done all my pre reqs at mt. Sac , so do I still ask for electronic official transcripts??? I logged on to try and it won’t let me request them to send to Mt. Sac. So confusing. I emailed the counselors from the zoom meeting the other day and no response. Please if anyone can help!

No you don't have to if they've only been at Mt Sac.

Just submitted my application with 73 points ?. Hopefully not too low. I see a lot of people in the 80’s. Good luck everyone!! I’ve been waiting on this for years of taking 1 pre req per semester do to working and being a mommy.

Hi,

I am curious is anyone knows the clinical sites that Mt. SAC uses?

It varies per semester but I know there's Pomona Valley , chino , San Antonio, Whittier, emanate health. First semester there's the SNF locally in azusa and covina

Do you guys know what most points people are applying with? I have a few friends applying with 70's but others with 40's.

I’m doing 34 but I know I don’t stand a chance. But then again never know with new point scale.

Hello

when will mt. sac email students to let them know of the status of the application?

Do you guys know if they are looking for direct patient care work experience or will they consider other types of healthcare experience?

Hello. When I attended the workshop, they said that direct patient care like taking blood pressure and assisting patients with activities pf daily living, etc is required to get the points.
