Hi all, just curious if anyone has received an email for an invite phase 2 yet? Looking at previous years, this is about time time they were sent out.

Best of luck!

I got accepted!

they may go through the list pretty fast, best of luck!

Congratulations! That is awesome!

Ahhh I got accepted as well! I'm in the Fall Cohort.

I applied last year and didn't get accepted, not even on the alternate list.. HANG IN THERE! They usually go pretty far down on the alternate list. I didn't get in the first year I applied, but I finished out my associates and got in this year! I'm rooting for you guys that got on the alternate list!

Thanks for the wishes! I'm pretty high up on the alternate list so I am kind of betting on the fact that I won't make it in. I am debating on going to get my LPN. Do that for a little bit and apply again to RN in a few years. Is that worth it? Maybe the more experience might help.

Congratulations! That is so exciting!! Thank you ☺️ I was trying to find information about how many students are usually added to the alternate list, but no lucky

Do you know how far they go down on the alternate list? I'm #66 so I don't really have hope. It sucks but congratulations to you who did make it.

Personally I wouldn't do LPN - only because my goal is more hospital care rather than VA/Care home. To me doing LPN would be school debt that just wouldn't be worth it. If you wanted to get more experience to make your application stronger, I myself would go the fastest route and do more CNA certification. That way you have way more options - care home, hospital, etc. As a CNA you can work so many different places.

You making the alternate list makes you just that more competitive for next year. Did you apply multiple places or just MHCC? I made the mistake last year just applying to MHCC. I was completely crushed when I didn't get in. Hang in there, seriously. I know the feeling of not getting your desired outcome - BUT you made it as an alternate! That is more than I could say for myself last year. You got this 🙂

Hi there, I got accepted into MHCC and CCC. I'm actually leaning towards Columbia Basin College where I got accepted into their LPN to BSN program. They have a Summer 2025 start, and the last term is Spring 2027 (same as for CCC or MHCC, but it's for the BSN). The cost is ~$31K for this bridge program since Iive in Oregon and would need to pay out of state tuition. So probably about 10K cheaper if you live in Washington! The program is online except during the weekends. Apparently they only had 31 students apply this cycle, and they take about 16. So not as hard to get into as to MHCC or CCC. (My understanding is it's pretty competitive to get into their ADN program)....

I actually ended up getting my LPN because I tried to get into PCC's nursing program for 3 years .... And the third year cycle I ended up being one of the top 100 for CCC, and didn't even get to the second tier for MHCC. I almost gave up on nursing! Then I found Sumner, in between going to their orientation session and submitting everything, about a week and a half later I heard back that I was accepted, and about a week and a half after that I started the program. It was a 13-month program. I graduated in 2020, so one of the covid graduates. Then due to covid, and us buying a renovation property, I deferred my education goals.

My science prereqs were older than 7 years, so I could not apply to PCC this cycle. However, CCC and MHCC changed their science prereqs deadline to 10 years, so I applied to both. And I got in to both! Shocking, but praise God!

As an LPN, I worked Med/Surg in Goldendale, WA. I also currently work as a pre-op/postop nurse at two surgery centers (a full-time job, and per diem at another surgery center). So I've been blessed.

I'm an alternate as well, I emailed them about it and they said last year they pulled 50 students from the waitlist!
